The world knows of the tale of Tiana and Naveen, but what happens all of these years later?
Cecily is the great-granddaughter of Tiana and Naveen, and there's something much different about her than the rest of the family. Her unusual ability with voodoo magic and her shadow that never seems to stay put is part of the problem.
When she is kicked out of home for an incident at her family's restaurant(for using her magic to deal with some jerks), she's determined to start her own story.
But that was before she accidentally resurrected the Shadowman from her great-grandma's story......

Now Cecily must work together with this strangely charming Shadowman to uncover something dark that has been happening beneath New Orleans for years, that is set to claim everyone's souls....
And maybe learn how to get along with her new partner before they murder each other.

The Dark Side #1

20 parts Complete

#1 in The Dark Side Trilogy Cecily has never lived an ordinary life, being a Warlock. Who would? Her parents are dead, she doesn't know who to trust, and the only family she has left is her eight year old brother Kai. But even though Cecily is seven years older than her brother, she would do anything it takes to save him from harms way, and if that means stealing from other people for food and water, well, she'd do it without hesitation. But when one thing goes wrong and Cecily is torn away from her brother's side, nothing else but her brother's safety matters to her any longer. She knows that no-one can be trusted, but she can't do this on her own; she needs all the help she can get, even if she doesn't want to admit it. Encountering Angels who aren't good or bad, Demons who can be trusted and odds like no others, can Cecily save what really matters most to her, or will the world she lives in be too much for her to take?
