Claire Midnight is a demon hunter plain and simple. Claire is harboring an Anubis demon, a young demon by the name of Sender. It's not like he's a bad guy, he did save her after all. A lady of the court must follow Fey rules.
Sender is an Anubis Demon, one of the lowest significance demons, at least to the hunters. Sender was a guardian of the last true Anubis ruler, Penny Syni. When Penny disappears one night after an argument, her Fiancé takes the throne. Sender discovers that Penny is being kept as a Viro, when a powerful demon can be drained of power, and their power used as a weapon. Sender is given one job from Penny before she is completely drained of power, find her a new host.
Sender, wanting to make peace with a non-demon, comes to a saves Claire Midnight from a rabid Werewolf. Claire is unable to kill those who save her from and danger, (due to Fey Court rules) thus making the her forever in his debt.
With weeks remaining to finish Claire 4 year training and to meet with the Huntress, an old demon hunter who interviews the DHIT (Demon Hunters in Training) students, she needs do keep Sender a secret from the world or else it might be at stake. If he is killed, Penny's Fiancé may have a reason to retaliate.
Can Claire keep Sender a secret or will he be outed and killed?
"I know I'm a monster, but even I have my limits!" I shout at him. He shouldn't have done that.

"I should've known." I say quietly as I turn around and leave him there. I will never trust him again. Not after this.
