Elrond, a blood elf knight of Erimore is sent on a mission to investigate a series of murders done by a mysterious occult. Originally thought to be a simple mission takes a turn for the worst when the alleged murderers show up at the inn he is staying at. In a word full of monsters and creatures, something much more devilish is brewing beneath the surface, a foreign wizard by the name Daubney learns this the hard way when he is targeted by the very same occult. A quest for power will result in devastating effects accross the land as the intense battle between the evilness of man and the goodness of heart will begin. (Warning, foul language and gore is in this story, it will get pretty dark)

Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. That faith had shaken that devastating day those years ago, the day that went on to haunt her every nightmare for years to come. She's still trying to come back from it, to not only restore her faith in life and love, but her faith in herself. The sanctity of her spirit- she prayed for resolve. Every punch was a prayer. Every mile was a hymn. Until her knuckles bled and her knees gave. Azriel had been surrounded by darkness his whole life, a poison on his world, on his being. He exercised restraint in his every waking moment, banishing that darkness within himself. Some guessed of the strain it put on him, but no one knew the extent of it, how deep his scars ran. It was better this way, he was sure. He had always thought that if there were a higher power- which he wholly doubted- such deities must loathe him to have burdened him such darkness. He hadn't much faith in the gods anyway, much less faith that he could sway their opinion on him. But Gwyneth and Azriel did have one thing in common: the quiet fight within themselves. They only knew one way: to go about it alone, couldn't fathom letting another in. But there's a magic in finding someone who is your equal but opposite, something transforming. And frankly, Gwyneth and Azriel could both use a little magic. All characters owned by SJM in the ACOTAR series. Story takes place after the events of ACOSF. Aligns with the events in my other fic: A Storm of Flames and Deceit. I haven't finished Crescent City, so this story takes place outside of the events of those books as well. "His stare promised death. It was a promise that he'd made many years ago, and now he was back to follow through with it at last." Willa and her friends are enjoying their night partying to celebrate her twenty-first birthday, when their lives are abruptly upended and thrown into disarray as they're cast from the human world they know so well. They find themselves in Faerie, a land fraught with perils and magic and a myriad of unworldly creatures, both good and bad. Willa is confronted by her past and who she once was when she comes face to face with an old foe she thought she would never see again, and her friends must quickly adjust to this strange, new land and survive the hardships and trials that are thrown their way. Together they must travel through the fae kingdoms, each more treacherous than the last, and restore balance to the world Willa had once called home. But there are forces of malevolence at work, the kind of evil that thrives off misery and only exists to bring chaos to Faerie and all it's inhabitants, and they will do everything in their power to stop Willa and her friends from fulfilling their destinies.
