The poem that was written here are based on personal experience that maybe you'd experienced too.

Siguro hindi talaga "exact" na parehas talaga ang mga nangyari pero maaaring ito ay may connection sa mga naranasan mo. May mga bagay talaga kasi na hindi kailangan na palaging magka pareho sapagkat mawawala ang pagiging "special" mo. Kagaya nalang ng taong minamahal mo at mahal ka pero mahal din niya yung isa? Ang sakit nun eh, diba?Yung parehas kayong mahal niya. Kaya wag nalang natin pilitin ang mga sarili natin.

This is a curious case of an unlabeled relationship. Ever tried being in a situation where you two spend hours of time together, but in the end, you are still unsure where you stand? Who you are to each other, let alone know what you two are doing? "Do you love me?" He's now staring straight at me, but his hands are still on his motorcycle's clutch. "I don't want to hurt him, Chris," I answered. "Bullshit! That's not what I'm asking Saree!" He shouted over his loud motorcycle. "I ... I want to do the right thing." "Then answer me, do you love me? Is there a part of you, any part in you which says you feel the same way I do?" Chris asked persistently I don't know how to answer. "Yes or No Saree, will there ever be an us?" He asked while bowing down squeezing his clutch tighter. I know in the deepest recesses of my heart that I have feelings for him. "Yes," I loudly answered, but then I bowed my head looking at my feet. What am I doing?! Another pause. His loud motorcycle's motor died. Next thing I know he is standing close to me, touching my chin and raising my face to his. "You mean that?" he asked "Yes," I answered He then kissed me on the forehead, hugged me tight, and whispered. "Then I'll wait." He then left. Without a second glance. It's a fairytale that is relatable to any prospect of life. There will be your evil stepmother and evil stepsisters, your fairy godmother and your one true prince. It is a fairytale that understands the element of surprise: That what we seek can sometimes appear right in front of us without knocking on our doors. Most especially, it's a fairytale that understand the importance of love: A true prince may not come in shape of perfection but regardless of the imperfections and flaws, he would still remain perfect in your eyes. Regardless of its flaws, Africa was my father and Nigeria was my prince. Africa was my birthplace, born to the greatest warriors on the planet: Shaka Zulu, Nelson Mandela, Cleopatra, Kofi Annan even Didier Drogba the famous footballer. Most especially it was my home. It was the place I learnt to walk, talk, run and now 200000 feet above the ground I look down at my home. Little lights flickering everywhere like fireflies contrasting with the dark night. Maybe one day I will come back to my father. My prince. My Ile.
