Primed: A Kayla Madison Story by MelissaHamilton2
37 parts Complete
Kayla Madison is a normal-ish sixteen-year old whose main desire is simple-make it through high school without embarrassing herself too much in the process. It doesn't help that she's being followed by dark figures no one else sees. When a man with incredible speed, unbelievable power, strange old-fashion clothes, and an obnoxious personality threatens her life, she discovers she is a rare "two-worlder" -a person with one parent from Earth and the other from Earth Prime. She escapes another attack by jumping through a portal to the alternate dimension, much to the chagrin of her protector. As if managing without electricity, cars, and phones on the more Edwardian world weren't enough stress; she finally meets her long-absent father, a scientist in the top-secret field of Trans-Dimensional Travel. Things get more complicated when she realizes her best friend's father, or rather the Earth Prime version of him, might have been the person that orchestrated the assaults. ___ Thanks for reading! I've been working on this story for quite a while and have drafts for a five book series. I would love feedback on what I can do to make it a stronger story. If there are things you enjoy, let me know (so I don't change those parts.) :) All portions of the story have been submitted and final chapters will visible by Nov 18, 2023. Among other degrees, I have my MFA in creative writing. I am a science teacher when I am not writing.

"... So maybe I did do it!" he mumbled, looking aimlessly at the ground. "Do what? Jumped us away in time?" "Wha...? How did you know I was going to say that?" "Well, first of all, last night you had this bright light around you, and then, the the next thing I knew, we wound up here. Then, while you were passed out, I looked a bit around. And by all indications, this is the exact same place we were at when we crashed. It just looks different: no asphalt roads, no city lights, no cell phone signal. And third, I just saw a ship at sea, which looked like the damn Mayflower! So I figured it can only mean one thing: we are in the past!" ************************************************ As they are about to experience a fatal car crash, LA surgeon Diego Perez and his wife Louise get sent back in time to the 19th century. It turns out that Diego has the ability to time-travel, and though he can not fully control it, this is not his first time doing it. The two get sent to the timeline of Diego's youth, three months after his mysterious disappearance when he was twenty years old. Now, at a much more mature age, but with a still youthful appearance, he is forced to take things up where he left them, with an upcoming wedding to his pregnant fiancée and much unresolved business as the town protector, Zorro. But he has his modern-day wife with him, who has her own connections to this place and time, and things get more complicated by the day. Will he be able to figure out how to get his wife back home? Will their love endure the test of the time travel? Will they manage to navigate the rough waters of their existence in the 19th century? Word Count approx. 86000. Warning: mature content and mature language Disclaimer: Very loosely based on original characters in Zorro by Johnston McCulley, the one by Isabel Allende and Kaiketsu Zorro. I have no rights over original story or characters.

John The Ripper

12 parts Complete Mature

A lengthy story I've been working on with a mixture of horror, classic tales, & slash. ORIGINAL TALE: Jack The Ripper. A true story about a gruesome serial killer in the year of 1888 murdering 5 prostitutes, fucking with police, but was never caught. THIS tale: John Lennon is a skilled serial killer with a gruesome record. He scopes prostitutes and mercilessly kills them for his sick enjoyment. But what happens when he spots a handsome, young detective that drops his jaw? (McLennon, duh) Warnings: Language, Violence, gruesome content, mentions of sex, and light slash A/N: I took some content out of the true story of Jack The Ripper, such as small portions of real letters he actually wrote and dates. Enjoy...
