When Brylyn's mother tells her she and Luke are moving in with their Aunt Jessabelle, Brylyn couldn't be any angrier if she tried. Hellbent on not liking anyone or anything, she completly ignores everything except for Luke and her studies. But that all changes when she meets Jace. Determined to make her see the good in the world, all the dark clouds begin to leave Brylyn. Just as everything begins to be lifted off of her shoulders, she finds out something that will change everything. Will Brylyn face reality, or will she abandon everything she's learned about life?
