I woke up to a car horn honking outside my bedroom window. "What the hell?" I asked myself, rubbing my light blue eyes as I crawled out of bed. As I made my way to my window, I stole a glance at my clock. 7:32 A.M. Crap! I was going to be late for school. I hurried to my closet to pick out an outfit. Two minutes later I walked out with my favorite red tang top and a pair of blue skinny jeans in one hand and a black pair of ugs in the other. As I rushed past my window, I looked out it and saw that my best friend, Zoey Brooks, screaming at my neighbor. I chuckled to myself as I shook my head at her and ran to my bathroom. Not even a minute later I ran out of the bathroom and grabbed my phone off the bed. As I walked out of my bedroom I put my long blonde hair into a pony tail and snatched my purple backpack off the floor. I looked at my phone to see that it was 7:35 A.M. I had to be at school at 8:00A.M. and it takes 20 minutes to get there from my house. I groaned out loud as I sprinted down the stairs. "BYE MOM! BYE DAD!" I hollered and ran out the door.

Evie went to college at her hometown to get away from Ashton (her mate that she rejected after she found out what he really did to her). Ashton was heart broken, had probably an alcohol problem and his pack was slacking. Josh found out where Evie was hinding after weeks if not months. He told Ashton where she was and they went to her hometown. "Ashton?" My whisper seemed to travel all the way to them because Ashton and Josh both turn to look my way. I hear him shout my name and a couple seconds later I'm being pulled into a chest. "Evie." Ashton says almost breathlessly, as if he's in shock from seeing me. "Let go of me." I spit out, trying to keep the anger in front of the hurt. "I can't." He whispers. "Well you need to. I thought I made it clear last time, we are done." I say heatedly, anger and hurt crashing through me. Ashton closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry," he whispers, "but I have to." Panic flirts through me, "Have to what?" Ashton leans down and puts his lips against my neck and starts kissing softly. Heat floods through me and chases away any panic, anger or hurt. I feel my body lean into his embrace and can't help but feel like I should never move from his arms. "I'm sorry." Ashton whispers against my neck. He meets my eyes, then his eyes turn from annoyance, to lust. They seem to hold a fire so intense I almost forget to breathe. He's hot. Like, really hot. "Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hit a wall. I took a step back and realized that it wasn't in fact a wall, but instead a very attractive male. I looked up at his head to see a very messy, but sexy, mop of black hair on top of his head. When I looked closer, I noticed that his hair was a very deep brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled downward to his eyes, where I found two deep, ocean blue eyes looking back at me. My gaze travelled farther down to his crooked nose, to which I assumed came from too many fights. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips, which were turned into a sneer. "You have got to be kidding me!" His pink lips said in a very offensive voice. My eyes turned questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. "Whatever, lets finish this. I, Ashton Carter, reject you, as my mate." He, or Ashton, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? On my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school, rejects me. I guess that's how this school works, if the hottest boy in school rejects you, you're a nobody. So much for making friends, or mates, or whatever they call people at this school. I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I extended them too high for they have hit the glittery dream catcher hanging on the headboard of my bed. The said item dropped on my face. "Argh, get off me." I removed the dream catcher from my face and sat up on my bed. I turned my gaze to the clock on the side table; it was 7:15. "Ugh," I moaned. "it's too early." I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. A few minutes passed until somebody knocked on the door. "Marie," said the person who knocked on the door. "Let's go already!" Shoot, I forgot. No wonder I woke up so early. I quickly rose to my feet and rushed to the bathroom. "Marie! Are you even awake?" I didn't respond just yet because I was in the shower. A few moments later, the same person knocked on my door. "I've got the keys, Marie," she said. I could hear her shaking the keys outside my door. "You can't stay asleep forever!" Hurriedly, I placed on my blue blouse and pants. I grabbed the brush from the bathroom and started to comb my dark brown hair. Rushing to the door, I opened it to see my friend Ranie Accendo. I eyed her gray blazer over her white shirt, pants, and boots. "What took you so long?" she asked. "Nevermind that." I shook my hand dismissively. "Where are we going? If it's not important, I'm going back to bed." "To the forest." "The forest? Why?" I stumble backwards slightly before a hand wraps around my waist, keeping me from falling. Looking up, I realize this wasn't a wall, but instead a very attractive male. A very messy, but definitely sexy, mop of black hair sat on top of his head. When I looked closer, I realized that it was a deep shade of brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled to his eyes, where I found two deep ocean blue eyes looking at me. I kept going further down to his too crooked nose to be called straight, which I assumed came from too many fights. His skin was tanned, but an olive tone suggested he had a natural darker complexion to begin with. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips which were resting slightly open. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that? I quickly showered and put an a lime green T-shirt that said Keep Calm and Geek On, a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, and high top converse that looked like Minecraft creepers with the little creeper face on the ankle of the shoes. As always I brushed out my straight dirty blonde hair and left it down. I glanced in the mirror. I looked at my icy gray/blue eyes they were like looking at a glacier. I looked away. Good enough, time to go. I ran and grabbed my teal bookbag, a package of pop tarts, and my keys to my yellow convertible Volkswagon beetle and ran out the door.Concluída
