what mom did

It was raining heavily and it had started growing dark. The rain was pouring down hitting the ground so hard. People had departed all dressed in black. Most ran to avoid getting wet .Few carrying umbrella's as they walked slowly towards the cemetery exit.
I had lay on the grave, on the wet mud as nanny Rosie held the umbrella on top of me. I cried and screamed out loud as I called "daddy" hoping he would wake up from his long sleep. I was only six years old, I was too young to understand that no screams or cries will wake the dead. I never knew that The dead will always be dead.
