World Witches: Arctic Circle
May 9th, 2042; The day after the end of World War Three and the surrender of Germania, which was analogously named the 5th Reich, as officially designated by the Organization of Nations. On this day, crowds filled the streets of every major city worldwide, celebrating the elimination of the greatest threat to the existence of the human race. However, while parties and crowds gathered in two of the three major cities in New Canteria, namely Okha and Vladivostok, the third major city, Arnket, was undergoing decontamination due to the radiation caused by a German nuclear strike in early May as it had resulted in a large crater and an engineered radioactive toxic rain cloud. Aside from that though it seemed as if all would go swimmingly for humanity. Until an alien race named the Neuroi appeared. The date is June 9th, 2042. A full month after the surrender of Germania and a week after the Mecklenburg-Vorpommen massacre. As New Canteria was receiving flak from the Organization of Nations, a sudden disturbance was detected by a Canadian satellite as a mysterious black cloud arose from the North Pole. However the Canadian government paid no mind to it. The last mistake they would make as it was them. They struck down on humanity like a thunderbolt in their most vulnerable moments as the North Canadian forces in the area were almost destroyed from the Neuroi attack, driving thousands and eventually millions from their homes in a attempt to escape the Neuroi. However the human race wouldn't go down without a fight. Mobilizing troops freed up from the end of WW3, the ON and a new organization named NORDEN (NHDA) made a successful resistance against the Neuroi and drove them back to the North Pole. However what they found next would have news of it reverberate across the world. A wormhole to a universe still fighting the Neuroi. It was a couple years after the Battle of Hogwarts. A lot of people were finally getting over their shock of the war. Well, most. There were still plenty of people who were still grieving their friends or family's or people they just knew's death. George, for instance, hasn't told or did a prank in months after his twins death. They were practically two puzzle pieces, and if put together, the best prank combo ever. Also, Harry was devastated when Remus and Tonks died, he tried not to show it though. He didn't want people giving him sympathetic looks and what not. Remus was the one who taught him the patronus charm and saved his life countless of times. And Tonks always shifted her form to a pig or something and made him laugh. There were also loads of other people who were grieving also and Hecate was getting worried. You see, Hecate gave four mortals the ability to use magic, but threw magic sticks instead. They soon after made a magical school to teach young witches and wizards to use magic. Centuries gone by and the story of how they got there magical powers twisted and turned until Hecate was out of the picture. Now Hogwarts and many other institutes around the world are basically Hecate's pet world. Anyways, the one person who Hecate know that has gone through the most heartbreak, trauma, and betrayal and that is still sane is... Nico Di Angelo. He will know how to sympathize for these wizards and help them cope. But will the young masters like him? Will they be scared of him? Or will they think he is one of the best teachers at Hogwarts? I thought I had died on my way home from work and that the gods had blessed me with a loving father in the afterlife. I was ready to accept that where I now stood was simply an illusion-an afterlife crafted just for me. How could I have known that my soul had traveled to another world? A world inside a book. I must have sinned greatly for the gods to abandon me, leaving me in this hellish place where I have to fight for my life every single day. I have no cousins who see me as family, no mother I can depend on. My home is filled with two-faced faes, and to make matters worse, my father's favorite general has taken it upon herself to act as some kind of mother figure, filled with hatred. The woman whose body I now possess was supposed to be dead. My death should have been the breaking point for my loving father-the event that turned him into a cruel, evil villain for the protagonist to defeat over 100 years later. Now, I am trapped in the book series I had read only because my friend loved it. And I can barely recall key details because I never bothered to read it carefully. It was already a horrible story riddled with many plot holes. And being stuck in it? It's even worse-especially as someone who wasn't even mentioned in the book because she was supposed to die early on. ~.~ This is a transmigration ACOTAR story set before Amarantha was sent as an emissary to Prythian. While the war over slavery has already occurred, I've altered the timeline and some details about the war's history. I also dislike the trope of a "truly evil" villain whose sole purpose is to justify the plot of a war or the extension of a series. With this story, I want to give the villain a backstory-a name and depth-saving him from the same mediocre depiction of a tyrant.
