The world wasn't always black and white. There once was a time where everyone had the right to think freely. Our emotions and creativity was not taken away from us. We weren't always being watched, ready to be punished if we stepped out of line. We were free. That was before the war began. It all happened 122 years ago, all because everyone had the freedom to their own thoughts and emotions. In order to maintain peace, the Governor created new rules. Anyone who disobeyed them would be punished-never to be seen or heard from again. We are no longer given the freedom to express our own thoughts and feelings. We are expected to be the same-a copy of one another. When a child is to turn 18, they will have to take different sets of tests. The only problem; some never return. And the ones who do, are never the same again. All traces of those who never return are gone from the world, as if they never existed in the first place. Then there's Nicholas Adair. With only 2 weeks left of freedom before he turns 18 and is taken away from his family, he becomes even more rebellious. He was never one to follow rules, always disobeying them-no matter the consequences. After his days of freedom are up, he knows one thing; He will be one of the few people who make it home. Not only does his rebellious ways gives others hope, but he is officially considered a threat to another person. The Governor. ---- Copyright © 2014 TheHeroesofOlympus All Rights Reserved
