Derek Parker leads a typical teenage life. He's handsome, charming, has plenty of friends, and he's quarterback of his school football team. He seems to radiate a bit of cockiness and has quite a reputation with the ladies. Despite his seemingly perfect life he's always felt as if something was missing in from it. Meanwhile, Alexiel Sterling lives a life nothing short of disastrous. Beautiful, yet, unapproachable. Always minds her business and never seems to stand out for anything except her looks. Yet, she harbors such dark secrets she doesn't dare let anyone get too close.
When the two get paired up for a school project it's nothing out of the ordinary. At least, not until Derek starts to take interest in her and her cold, indifferent manner. To him she seems different, mysterious. To her, he's just something she needs to get rid of before he gets too close. As they both fall into an intricate web of lies, death, abuse, and pain they may find out that together they are stronger than they ever were alone. Or, they may find out that their worlds are just too far apart.
He yanks my sleeve up and looks at my arm.
"I thought you told me you were fine." he sighs.
"Well, I lied." I roll my eyes.
. . .
Rose is a teenager. You would think she's a normal, crazy, party animal, teen right? No, she's the exact opposite. She once was a "normal" teenager until people at school couldn't help but, bully her, leaving her no choice to be suicidal. That is until a football player brings the brightest out of Rose and shows her life is worth living for.
The main idea of this story is Cliché. The suicidal girl falls in love with a boy and they live happily ever after, right? This time it's different. Not every story ends in a Happily Ever After.
