Child of the Grove

Syver Fell is a man trapped within his own duality. An ambitious royal protector clutches desperately to one hand while at the other claws a violent, unpredictable warrior; the Allfather only knows which of them will prevail. But when a messenger arrives on a lathered horse with dreadful tidings, Syver has a hunch.

Since his return from Annarheim, almost two winters past, Syver has gained prestige and a lofty rank as Thane of High Mountain. To his surprise, an old flame still burns, bright as ever. Given his lack of a bride price, Syver finds himself tangled in a precarious situation with no resolve in sight.

Now, he must return again, to the cold wastes, in search of answers and let loose that savage part of him he has tried so desperately to bury.

A rugged band of brutes strike out into the unknown. Battles are fought within and without, blood is shed. The darkness surrounding them will test the endurance of love, challenge the strength of resolve and measure the reach of ambition.

When two halves of a whole clash, who will remain to set the pieces together again?
