This is the story of Rey, an assumed orphan and subject of an unhappy childhood. She lives with her guardian-if he could be called that- Mr.Plutt, who keeps her for the soul perpose of putting her to work on the highland farm. As a young woman, Rey yearns for a real life- like the ones the odd paser-by might have- and looks for a job to help her start that- and eventually finds one at Craitfeild Hall, owned by the elusive Mr.Ren.
This is a Reylo Jane Eyre AU, set around 1875 (because the original was set at the time it was written-1847- and it always bothers me that at the same time as the original was set, in America slavery was still legal) of course it doesn't matter if you haven't read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë (but honestly its such an amazing book you should read it, you'll love it, honestly).

Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way. Confronting Fear

And then there is a certain group of meddling Force Ghosts determined to test them to their fullest. Meanwhile, Finn has a destiny of his own to fulfill chasing visions of his past across the galaxy. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version.
