Brianna Contestella comes from a world very different from ours. A world of strange powers that the people there take for granted.
But when an event takes place that throws Brianna's family into mortal danger, she runs. Runs back to our boring, safe world, to her human guardian that has no idea what she is, or who she will become.
Unfortunately, whether she likes it or not, it's up to Brianna to save everyone - everything - from a dark evil that has slept for centuries.
This is the story of an awakening.
WARNING: Updates are VERY slow, and I'm really sorry about that. This story will also be enduring MAJOR editing when I've finished writing the first draft, if you get what I mean. Be prepared for a few grammatical mistakes and cringy spots. Just keep in mind that everything will be fixed! (And please try to fight past the first five or six chapters. I promise it gets better after that!)

One day, she discovers a passage in the castle after following "the shadow." Through this passage and into the french catacombs, lies a portal. Through it is a strange land that she has never seen before.
