Before Smaug took over the Lonely Mountain, the Dwarves of the North, move to Erebor, when their lands were torched. That included the royal family the Northern Dwarves, the Bloodhammers. That's when Prince Thorin Oakenshield and Princess Cassie Bloodhammer, meet. Soon the two become inseparable and soon the two find out that they are each other's One. But when Smaug attacks, the two are separated and forced to go different directions. Months later Thorin finds out that all the Bloodhammers have perished. That's what people are told until 60 years later, Thorin and the Company run into a woman, none other than Cassie Bloodhammer herself.
