Aletta Valente was always a solitary soul. Living in a seaside cottage with her great aunt, she was never completely part of the community she was forced to assimilate into. Ever since her parents disappeared, she couldn't bring herself to trust easily. But as she falls in love too quickly, unable to prevent the irrationality of her feelings from taking over, she becomes dangerously dependent on that elusive necessity of trust.
