Blake is stuck with an abusive father at home and is bullied in high school. She has endured so much trauma that her brain decided to cope with the pain by not talking. She is terrified to open up and tell anyone about her experiences. She keeps to herself and hasn't had friends for years. One day she meets Max the new student at her school. After knocking her stuff off her desk accidentally she gains the attention of Max. Max sees something in Blake and tries to befriend her. He ends up witnessing the abuse her father inflicts on her. Does he help her or walk away like every one else in her life Or does he stay and help her overcome her past. Blake and Max fall for each other fast.
