These teens have a few things in common. They're all trying to find where they fit into their society. They all feel a sort of detachment from their familial backgrounds, friends, and societies.
They're all human - if you're being generous.
Five stories, occasionally interconnecting. Who else is going to catch the super bug?

Disclaimer: I wrote this novel before the movie Lucy came out it is in no way related but the premise of the brain and the powers eerily similar It is the year 2173. Human beings have evolved to use more than 10% of their brain, and as an effect, possess supernatural powers. Luna and Lara Valkyrie grew up in a foster home in the town of Westhaven, California. Their eyes are changed by machines, and they are identified for the bright aura-like color that surrounds their pupils and contrasts against their natural eye color, "the sunflower effect". The day of the chosen has come, and Luna Valkyrie is a seven. When she is taken by government guards, she believes her life is over. Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. A team of young teens who probably don't even listen to each other. That will save the world...Complete
The Darkness in the Light
For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. No one leaves the home unless it's essential, and most of the world prefers it that way. Until one girl spends her days perched on her window seat, looking down at the world below and dreaming of a different life. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!Complete
The perfect timing (In Editing)
I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. I also didn't think about being a superhero and rescuing the world from the bad. The only thing I want is to be left alone and get over with my last year of high school. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Aren't you ever tired of the same old super hero story? The hero is cool looking with bulging muscles, and always wins. Like, always. Even if the situation is dire and it all seems lost. All the sudden, freaking deus ex machina. And the villain is either some super nerd, or a loser. Do you have any idea how stereotypical that is? Hero=jock/bully. Villain=nerd/loser. But not this time. This is a new story. The Life of a Villain. Part 1: This is a story about Leonardo Sutton a.k.a Knifeslinger, an 18 year old villain out for revenge for his family's death. He goes undercover at Ravenswood Academy where he meets new friends and old friends, and an evil plot that could shake the world. Realizing they could never coexist, the gifted humans decided to create a world where they could live freely. This world became known as Trabachi. Hundreds of years later, enter our main character. Luke Sky lives on Earth, where people had long forgotten about the great war and gifted humans. He receives a letter inviting him to Trabachi. There he discovers that what he once thought was impossible was actually possible. He finds out that not only does he have awesome super powers, but he is the chosen hero the entire kingdom has been waiting for. At fifteen, he's got more important things to do than fight the infamous Vinicus Cauldwell. With his single mother having recently lost her job, Max is determined to help his family get back up on its feet. The publicity and pressure that comes with being a superhero would be too much to handle right now. But it's hard to fly under the radar, when you can literally fly. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes.
