Blood and Blades {Completed}

Katana lives in a small Village in the woods that her father founded when she was only one. At the age of 12 she started training with all the warriors of her village. She was the only girl. Her father was emperor. He wanted to ensure that she could defend herself as he would not be able to do so all the time. His only code was "Blade before Blood." Katana always wondered what it meant but her father and mother would not tell her till the time was right. At the age of fifteen on her birthday the village was invaded. Her mother was killed. Before she died she told Katana a very important message.

Mother: "Blade Before Blood. No matter how much you love someone... if you have to kill them because they put you or your village in danger... you will not hesitate... your blade comes before your heart... I say listen to both. I love you."

She took her last breath that minute. Katana swore that the men that did this would never get away. She trained harder and harder listening to her fathers code but also remembering her mothers wish. She soon became the most lethal warrior around. On her sixteenth birthday she got her clans symbol branded on her. It was tradition. That night her village was attacked again by the same one that killed her mother. Amongst the all to familiar faces she saw a new one. When they locked eyes she felt her heart beat faster. Her core heat up from more than just anger. What was this? Her mother's words coursed through her head. She knew she would not be able to kill this man. His name is Kim Seok-jin. What will Katana do?
