He wanted to be a hero, not for "glory" "fortune" and "fame," but because he wanted to protect the innocent and punish the evil... he was Naruto Uzumaki and he was the son of All Might.  His father promised to pass down his Quirk to him, but instead he passed it down to his friend Izuku Midoriya. However, this wouldn't stop Naruto from being a hero and especially not from surpassing his father All Might!

Even after the end of shinobi era, one family, one clan survived: Uzumaki clan.
