All his life Kael has been a possession, a tool, a thing owned by none other than his very own father.

Fate
is entirely cruel however, Kael has one thing going for him. A mark, believed to be the handiwork of a god
that marks Kael as one of the lucky humans destined to tap into the true nature of their home world,
destined to deviate.

What is the point of becoming one of the lucky deviants if all it does is
make him a more valuable asset for his father? Kael wants to be free no matter the cost. It is not a
question of if he will defy his father but a matter of when.

But does Kael have what it takes to deny his
father a ruthless deviant known as the Demolisher and even if he does will it be enough to challenge a world so
cruel and dangerous it has relegated mankind to bottom of the food chain?
Would Kael knowingly leap
into death if only to escape his father? Yes, he probably would but not everyone is a phoenix destined to
rise from death more brilliant than ever most simply stay dead.
