5 years have passed since the events of Allegiant. The factions were no more and so is the Bureau. The people of Abnegation, Dauntless, Erudite, Amity and Candor are free. Free of simulations. Of absolute control. And of fear.The gates of Amity are finally opened and people are free to search for their own meaning of life beyond the fence.
Tara Deitcher was a former member of Erudite. After the war against Evelyn and the factionless, Chicago was finally at peace. Nothing is going to threaten them anymore.
Although Chicago is at peace, that doesn't mean the outside world is safe. The world is a corrupted place, so is the human mind. Will Tara be able to live her imaginations of what's outside the fence and discover whether humanity exists? Or will she see a place worser than what Chicago used to be?

He stays strong for the people on the outside, while on the inside he is broken and lost without Tris. But, he just has to keep telling himself that life goes on, and that his life will get better, even though some days will be hard to cope through. But that's what friends are for, right? But what happens when he looses friends, or when some want to become more than friends? Will it drive him insane, or will he just accept the fact that Tris is gone and she would want him to go on with life. But Tris never left him. She is with him everyday, he just doesn't know it. So how will she communicate with him? Or will she just stay in the shadows, watching over Tobias, watching him fall in love all over again? What if they found a way to be together again?
