Yet, love, loss and betrayal lie in wait and he must tread carefully lest he be swept aside by forces outside his control.
Meanwhile, outside the city walls, something stirs. And the man called Felix will make a discovery that could shake the very world once more. But the Unity continues to suppress the truth, spreading its lies and deceit over all who would be ensnared within its grasp.

The arena gets bombed and the tributes seize their chance at freedom, running through the hole and into the unforgiving wilderness. Cato and Clove must learn to work with their enemies in order to make it out alive to one of the districts before the Capital finds them. but home is not safe for a bunch of supposedly dead tributes. They have heard rumors that District 13 still exists, and they are hoping against hope that the rumors are true and that they will make it there with each other by their side and be a few of the lucky ones. And possibly have their friendship turn into something more? Watch Cato and Cloves journey as they tackle life before the games, new feelings, and certain death at every turn.

Monsters don't exist but humans do. Humans have a talent for destroying anything beautiful about to bloom. When the last human on Earth died, she died like a hero going home. In a world without a future, each passing moment is the end of the world. It is the year 2136, seven years from the supposed extinction of the human race. Along with Axel, a group of teenage boys wake up in a train with no memory of who they are or where they are going. They make up the remainder of the human population. They soon discover they are much further away from home then they thought. When they look outside, they realise the sky is black tinged with blood, the buildings are made of flesh and plumes of smoke escape from the cracks of the scorched grounds. Time does not exist here. Even the sun and moon has abandoned them. They quickly discover they are not alone leading Axel to believe he isn't the good guy after all. Truth to be told, he doesn't even think he's human. When Axel discovers something far worse then he could ever imagine, he knows no matter how much he wants it some stories won't have a happy ending. In fact, this might be the final ending for humans. Seventy-four years has been long enough. The way of the infamous Hunger Games has been altered. No longer is every Gamemaker out to devise the worst means of torture and death for every tribute. No longer are the people of Panem outwardly tolerant of President Snow's murderous actions. Under the facade of a normal group of Gamemakers, several rebellious citizens have begun an experiment which, if it succeeds, will make use of technology both to rescue the tributes before they are dead and then deposit the brainwashed children back in time. They have to try it. No one knows what horrors future Hunger Games may bring, and the desperate rebels are willing to try anything. Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names.
