What if everything was real?

What if every myth, every legend, every story, was actually real?

In this world, it is.

----
Alexus. That was the name of the genderfluid child.

Alexus always believed that there was a reason things existed, but that didn't mean the reasons were logical or even known.

Alexus wanted to go to the mortal world, but any and everyone he/she knew would refuse. The mortal world was where everything happened, every major event or occurrence as well as wars and chaos. If you never went, you never truly lived.

That was when Alex met the girl. "She was small, probably not even past ten years of age. Her long brown hair past her shoulders, choppy yet still cascading down her small back. Yet the thing that caught Alexus most were her eyes. Not the brownish-green color in her irises, not the way the colors swirled together in a neverending cycle. No, what caught Alex was the broken and fractured edges of the irises, proof that this child had been through more than her age."(excerpt from One, AlexusAP)

When Alexus takes the mortal girl from her home, it sparks mystery and anger between the Myths and Legends. Alexus had broken the one sacred law of all: Never interfere or take a mortal from their realm. Now he/she must escape from altered demons, crazy werewolves, venomous demigods, as well as monsters, demon hunters, rogue wizards, and many more.

Together, the two young children embark on a journey to escape death and stay with one another as every and any comes their way.

Betrayal is never a happy revelation.
