If there's one thing you should know about the magical world it's that there's no need for expectations for whatever it is you expect you will experience something far greater. Hermione, the brightest witch of her age, best friend of the Boy Who Lived, and top student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry is starting to feel overwhelmingly burned out. Her friends are driving her mental, school work and Prefect duties have her stressed out to the point of exhaustion, and she feels as though there's no one she can turn to. One day she decides to have a mental health break up in the Room of Requirement. Little did she know that particular room held more secrets than she initially thought, including an enchanted wardrobe with a diary on its shelf. Within the pages of said diary she finds the voice of kindred soul from an unknown past.

In 1976 Remus Lupin was nothing more than a student whose friends were known for their antics and troublesome ways. In dealing with them, his lycanthropy, and an uncertain future Remus has found himself having the hardest time trying to be happy. His condition took its toll on his body every full moon as well as his mind. He couldn't ever live a normal wizarding life...of that he knew for certain. Still he couldn't find it in himself to hurt everyone he loves by taking himself out of the picture. So he started keeping a diary; one that he'd hid in a wardrobe.

He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past.
