Jake Warren is a human worker within Colony Seven, who is given the chance to leave his enslaved life behind, but after learning the truth of his ancestors, he chooses to fight back and reclaim his humanity.
*****
The Astorians landed on Earth in 2024. The Astorians control all. But, as promised, after fifty years, the humans can go free.
Jake Warren, human #0003, has begun the countdown until his freedom. After a life of enslavement, another thirty days wouldn't be hard at all. Except, Jake is Jake. He has a problem with authority. A smart mouth that gets him beaten and punished by Astorian law. And after one word too many, he's thrown in the Wingos den, illegally sentenced to death. Yet, he doesn't die. He lives. And learns. And is willingly ready to accept his fate. But at what costs?

❝They say in thirty days they'll release us in groups of five, based on our birth number here on Earth. In colony seven, I am number three. I'll be one of the first to see the planet as a free man. No Astorian laws, no colony rules. Just free on the planet I was meant to inhabit, as a human should.❞
