It's December the 25th, and I'm sat around eating Christmas dinner with my parents, my three younger siblings and my girlfriend. I'm wearing a stupid pink hat and I've spent the day watching cheesy Christmas films and playing kid's games.

Sounds too good to be true, right? That's because it comes with a catch. 

From a fight with a dinosaur who wants to munch on Hamleys, to meeting myself from the future, impossible things are happening. Recruited by the Hunters, it's our jobs to neutralise the threat. It's a pretty easy job, if somewhat tiring... And then he came along... 

This is the battle that's the most tiring, that makes us want to curl up and sleep forever. We're hopelessly outmatched against a man who seems to be from another world. We're hired by the people who want us locked up and experimented on. We're running out of time.

Having faith in something that literally isn't there but is is tiring. Also, the world hates you and you have to fight against the one thing you can't escape, sin. It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. At that exact moment her window smashed and something flew into her room. It was a flock of them; they attracted the house and only took one thing: the girl. She remembers it clearly, the way she screamed scared out of her mind. The way it grabbed her waist and took off. She remembers screaming for help but no one came to her rescue. Oh how she wishes that she left her safety knife in her room. Then they would be safe. Her family! She just hopes they were fine, but the conclusion that she was taken says that her family would be back to normal soon. She sighs and thinks over her life. From a little kid she was always the loner. But her family loved her to death. It all changed when she turned ten. The world was changing. She remembers the exact day at the exact time. Her birthday; she calls it the hell day. Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. Steal and kill their prey. That's what she heard but she didn't believe it until a few nights ago. (kinda like the movie Warm Bodies)

A body swam above me as he moved toward me, oh for heaven sakes! Even stuck in a bottom of the pool I had the disgrace to be saved by him again? What was he even doing here in the first place? Was he stalking me or something? Oh God, I had a stalker like in the movies. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me up but my body didn't move an inch. I pushed him away from me and shook his shoulders as I pointed down at my stuck foot. He swam down and tried to unhook the bracelet but he couldn't. He pushed himself up and I thought that he had given up on me. I thought he was a rapist, now that I blew his cover it was a perfect way to get rid of me. I'm going to save myself, I don't need him anyways. I hovered and struggled to get it out. How did this even happen? I was pushed as jerk face returned, my head leaned back as he swam toward me and sneaked his arms around my waist to bring me forward. He plastered our mouths together to give me mouth to mouth breathing and the bracelet suddenly unhooked by itself. The fuck the ancestors think they're doing?

When Sammy's parents got divorced, she didn't mind at all, because she knew that they weren't meant to be together, and if they weren't happy with each other, then they don't have to stay together for her sake. She lived with her mom, and her dad visited regularly, when he could get away from his work; running a top class private boarding school. Her mom turns on her when her favourite person leaves town, and her life slowly starts losing meaning, and she can't think of anything that makes her happy, except being with her best friend. Then, she goes too... With nothing making her happy in her small town, she makes a life-changing decision, that she thinks will benifit her, and make her life all that she wanted. Or, it could go very wrong and be worse than staying where she is. "Dad, I want to live with you" I told him over the phone, in tears. Nothing new there. "Samantha, you know I'd love you too, but there isn't any school around this area, remember? My school is in the countryside, with nothing within a short driving dinstance" he all but rejected me. "Then can I move schools? Attend your boarding school?" He was silent, then let out a long sigh of defeat. "I'll enroll you now. Pack your things, I'll send a car in the morning for you." That was all I needed to hear, and I was thrilled. Without making noise, I danced around my room and repeatedly thanked him. Later that night, after the usual abuse, I silently packed my things when she was passed out. I hurried in doing it, and stored them at the back of my closet so she couldn't see them when she checked up on me. You're doing it, Sammy. You're finally getting out of here; away from all the bitchy girls, your mom, and old memories with Fletcher. I'm proud of you, girl...
