No Pain, No Gain

Since she was 10, a certain motto had been following Courtney McLane around. That motto was "no pain no gain." She doesn't remember where she heard it and she doesn't really care, never thought much of it, just that she remembered it for some weird reason. Courtney is just another average teenager leading a normal life, well as normal as it can get as a freshman in high school. That was the way it was, the way it was supposed to be until she meddled with something, and someone, she shouldn't have. Courtney's life is officially upside down and there is no way of fixing it. She is on a journey, and on that journey, she is discovering just how much this motto matters in the end.
