Addison Crickerly, a girl moulded into a popular, political princess, with huge expectations from the magical world, wants nothing to do with office jobs. Instead, she secretly works with Newt Scamander, a boy who seems to be obsessed with creatures more than all the magizoologists combined, to explore the world of magical beasts. Two brilliant people with the same passion for creatures and traveling the world to study them seems like a great idea.
However, Addison's mother Venusia Crickerly happens to be the Minister of Magic, just as popular but twice as powerful. Ever since her father died from a horde of erumpents, Venusia seems to have the idea that all beasts are dangerous and decides to make sure no one would ever be killed from one again.
Their harmless studies are srictly against the law, the ministry is quickly killing off creatures of the magical world, everyone is looking for Addie, and it's up to them to try and convince the ministry otherwise.
All while she is falling for Newt.
