"Chloe: You know what? Your "old man" couldn't even stand up straight because of his weight. And your stupid mother couldn't stand up straight because of her skinny Chinese chicken legs!
The whites of Marinette's eyes turn black. Her pupil becomes a white slit in the middle of her eye.
Marinette: I'm sorry, what?
Chloe: Skinny. Chinese. Chicken. Legs!
The whole class watches as Marinette tenses and gets up, including Alya, Nino, and Adrien. She growls.
Chloe: Growling like a kitty cat? What are you gonna do about it, Maribrat?
Marinette: You have no idea what I can do...
Marinette feels Tikki bump against her inside her bag. Her eyes turn back to normal. She sits back down.
Marinette: Chloe, learn to leave people alone. I don't think you would like to have your parents insulted."
Marinette has a secret. And this time, it's not her identity.

A Little Bit of Bad Luck
In this AU, Félix and Marinette's characters are based on the ones from the Miraculous anime PV that was never made (extra explanation of MCs in prologue). Additionally, there is a focus of side characters such as Gabriel, Nathalie, and Chloé (all these characters are based on the canon cartoon). This story takes place in the world of the cartoon but I have added some elements of the anime and my own spin on things. It's mostly plot and romance with occasional action. Alya and Nino hadn't come out of the building yet, and Marinette feared the worst. Tears began to spill out, streaming down her face. "I need to take your memories, Marinette," Time Capsule said. "Let's make sure none of the other versions of ourselves have to live through this future." Marinette nodded and let her extract her memories. This isn't your normal watching Miraculous Ladybug Book Marinette's life has fallen apart, she is now the Chinese Zodiac Miracle box Guardian, the Miraculous cure has stopped healing her, Chat Noir no longer loves her, Lila has taken all her friends, her allies identities have been exposed, Fu has died, she is getting sick for some reason, and now Lila is framing her for being Mayura, Hawkmoth's assistant. To make it worse an Akuma calling herself Show Mistress has zapped Marinette and Lila back into the past, trapping them in a time loop. Unknowingly all of Paris is watching the two and true colors are being revealed along with secret identities. Marinette must be the most unluckiest Ladybug because now an old enemy of the Miraculous Order that was trapped in time is taking the chance at freedom and revenge. With the stolen Butterfly Miraculous all he has to do is get his hands on the Miracle Box and Marinette. Now Marinette is running through the past trying to hide from the Enemy and is fighting for her life as she meets new dangers and monsters that have been freed. Can Marinette survive being trapped in time with Lila? Does she know that her life has been turned into a TV show that all of Paris is watching? Will Guilt swallow Adrien as he realizes all he can do is watch? As Paris watches, deep secrets are revealed.Complete
