Jordan Maron is a loser. He has survived until senior year with his best friend James Hayes. Years they have been under the foot of Sonja Reid and Tucker Boner, but they all have one thing in common, they worship Mianite, Dianite and Ianite, the most rich and popular and cool kids in school. Jordan somehow gets mixed up with these kids and becomes the fourth wheel. Everything seems to be going fine, that is until he meets a mysterious new British student.
