Elizabeth survived her first year at Gemstone Academy, but she has found that her second year is going to be even harder.
Thrown into the world of the night, Elizabeth doesn't understand a lot of things, especially how to be an Angel, or how to hold on to her own crown that seems to be slipping, making the appeal to marry Lazarus even more tempting, if only it weren't for Dario, the very enchanting vampire she met last year.
On top of everything else there's a revolution brewing amongst the Mythical creatures, and it's against her.
Elizabeth and her friends need to stand up for themselves, or else they're going to be crushed under the weight of the world.

My eyes finally adjusted and I got a good look at the guy. Holy shit, he was HOT. He rivaled Lazarus, and that's saying a lot. He might even be more attractive than Elridge, wait no, I wasn't so sure about that one. Anyway, he had blonde wavy hair, milky skin that was clear from any imperfection, and he was tall. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt that was fitted so you could see his muscles. There was something off about him though. Oh, I know what it was. His eyes were bright purple. Then he blinked and they were sky blue. What the...?
