Elizabeth Armstrong is loved by her people. She's kind, understanding and smart. She seems like the perfect first President of Britain. Or is she? A world torn apart by natural disasters and stamped on by war, what is left of the great countries of the past rise again as Empires. UPAE, or the United Provinces of the American Empire, has managed to survive, even thrive through six generations of solely female rulers, beginning with the first leader, formerly Mrs. President before California fell into the ocean, Yellowstone became a volcanic crater, Global warming turned Florida into an an Archipelago and the sun rendered modern circuitry useless. The successful creation of heirs was ensured by the Choosing, a process by which the young heir finds at least two suitable mates in the male population through extreme testing and beauty screening. This is where we find Nefertiti, the most recent heir in the successful line, in the midst of Choosing the four that will rule her empire with her, however only one will have the duty, the honor, of producing the next heir. However, years of relative peace and prosperity are about detonate as the volatile Republic of Antarctica begins its secret plans. They are desperate. And hungry. So the question is not whether the destruction will come. The question is... Who will survive?
