Aeternum, a planet teeming with life, boasts lush greenery and sapphire seas. Its origins are lost to time, but theories suggest a singularity that split into two beings: Solis of light and Moros of darkness. Solis burned with harsh light, while Moros swallowed everything in darkness, creating a cycle of creation and destruction that reshaped the universe repeatedly. Exhausted from their eternal battle, Solis and Moros created a battlefield to pit their powers indirectly: Solis birthed the Caeli, and Moros the Infernals. After aeons of war, Solis's forces triumphed, and the god gifted humanity to the Caeli-a race without innate power but with the ability to populate Aeternum. The once barren planet flourished with life. Humanity, along with other beings spawned by the war, thrived in peace. Yet, peace was fleeting. Humanity, representing both light and darkness, became a target for Moros, who was trapped in the planet's core. Moros fed on humanity's negativity, spawning more Infernals to erode his prison. Humanity, a battery for the Infernals, faced obliteration as civilization after civilization fell. The Caeli, finite in number and power, struggled against the growing threat. However, humanity refused to be mere batteries. They were going to fight back. No matter what.
