Betty moved to Riverdale in Sophomore year because of her abusive dad and drunken mom. Polly and Charles are twins and Polly already was living in Riverdale with her twins Juniper and Dagwood. Jason (he is alive in this) was staying with Polly also. When Betty got to Southside High she was hard as nails but the bad boy caught her eye Jughead Jones.
