She remembers the day she met him.
The man with the warm gray van that approached them that night-- there was a sticker on his back windshield of a stick figure family, coated in a thin layer of chalky red dirt. It read "Baby On Board" with a small drawing of a bundled blue smiley face.
It's been two years since that night.
She escaped.
Teagan Aroon is now under careful watch of the police while attempting to continue attending school. She needs to do her parents proud--she must fall back into the patterns of painting late after school, tutoring on the weekends, cramming for tests and procrastinating on homework. Maybe go on a date or two? Anything to move away from where she was.
That's all anyone expects of her. To go back to normal.
Seems easy right?
Yeah.
Except she's moving half way across the country, the one guy in the school with the prince-charming jock reputation bothers her relentlessly, his crazy ex is determined to run her out of the school at any cost, her kidnapper was never caught, and she hasn't spoken a word in two years.
Yeah. Piece of cake.
