La Fondation SCP est un site qui relate les exploits de la Fondation SCP (pour « Sécuriser. Contenir. Protéger. »), une organisation responsable du confinement d'entités, de lieux et d'objets qui dérogent aux lois de la nature : les « SCP » (pour « Procédures de Confinement Spéciales »). La majorité des travaux présentés sur le site consiste en rapports comportant, entre autres, des « procédures de confinement spéciales », qui décrivent chacune une méthode de confinement spécifique à un SCP.
