Aernford is the sort of town that people avoid, a town that has its secrets, its issues, its darkness...

It's a town full of history surrounding the three founding families. It's a town that the Carpenter's thought would be their fresh start. A new chapter. A blank page.

Shirley and Joseph Carpenter find the town fascinating and easily slip into social networking with it's residents...

But when her husband turns up dead from a supposed bear attack Shirley Carpenter begins to realize why most people avoid the town and the locals that live within it.

More secrets are buried in the depths of the waters of the docked ships in Aernford, than are kept in her heart, and as the secrets of her soul begin to spill themselves, so do those of the people she's come to know...

After all, how far can you really trust strangers, if you can't really trust yourself?

The Town That Forgot to Mourn

19 parts Complete

After surviving a tragic accident that took her father's life, sixteen-year-old Emma is forced to move to a quiet little town with her grieving mother. The town is picture-perfect-too perfect. But beneath the surface, something is deeply wrong. Their new house is unsettling. The air feels cold. The nights are too quiet. And Emma can't shake the feeling that something-or someone-is watching her. Her mother, once grieving, is suddenly... too happy. The townspeople are welcoming-too welcoming. And the house? It whispers to her. Tells her things she shouldn't know. But no one will listen. As Emma unravels the town's secrets, she realizes she was never meant to leave. And if she doesn't escape soon, she might not be Emma anymore.
