It is a known fact that everyone has to die. But what happens to a human after death is a question which has no answer. 

Some pass through the veil to the afterlife, but there are a few unfortunate souls who are still stranded on the earth in confinement. 

Such a soul was Maximilian; a boy ghost who had been burnt at the stake in the Salem Witch Trials. Stuck on earth and with no other alternative to consider, all he could do was watch the living until the lights went out.
