Denied is a drama that entails the very insignificance a child is exposed to, at a very tender age. Emotional decadence is evident throughout the play. Her notion is to be respected in the society. Patricia, the main focus and protagonist of this story, grows her legend living in a household very uncaring. She gains a scholarship which takes her out of the country, Nigeria. With the scale of disunity on the high in her home, she is eager to leave. Patricia's love life is very questionable to others as she finds it difficult to trust people. The collapse of the story portraits Patricia living a legend that she regrets.
