His stares softened and strayed from hate over the ongoing months, and his fans sped up increasingly whenever she'd come too close to him. If only she'd realized sooner that Sun's stares had become looks of longing and of lust, if only she knew what went on through their shared headspace, and if only she had been less dense, maybe she wouldn't be running for her life.
