My entry for National Geographic #planetorplastic contest. I believe in reincarnation and a proven fact that the impact of every action inspires an equal an opposite reaction from the universe. My short story is based on these principles. When we talk about saving the planet, it feels more an act of charity than self preservation. And we need to understand that it is solely self preservation. When my acts come to bite me in the behind, I am quickest to fix them. Hope my story puts forth this point well and clear.

Someone like you. You believe in me. Why? Where did you get that ring? Why does it match mine? How do I even remember something like that? I look familiar too? Are you sure? From where? Come with me we'll find out together. Let's be best friends, now let's be together forever. Never leave me again not that you had the choice. I died and came back it sounds like but you this is what you're made for. Protecting them believing in things even though you're a teenager now. But you keep believing why? I guess that's true even if you "grow up" in age you never have to really grow up as a human. There's something about you you're special to me to us. I won't let him hurt you.
