"MY SISTER MAY NEED POWERS TO KICK YOUR ASS, BUT I CERTAINLY DON'T."
In which a woman who wants nothing more than to protect her sister can't seem to save herself.
[oc x steve rogers]

OR

June has always been the protective sister, maybe a little overprotective. But anything to save Iris from danger was a worthy cause, and that's why June taught herself to protect them both in every situation possible.
So when Steve Rogers and his group of runaway Avengers come hurtling back into her life, June is (mostly) prepared.
But not for what's about to happen, because it doesn't matter how many situations June prepared for, this was not one of them. And it has dire consequences.

"Trouble is my middle name." ~ Lillian Nightshade is a metaphorical rock in SHIELD's boot, one that not only has a mouth snarkier and more sarcastic than the hypothetical (and entirely impossible) baby of Tony Stark and Deadpool, but has a certain knack for slipping from the authorities' grasp on a regular basis. She's arrogant, she's witty, she's satirical, she's immature and she's one of the best damn assassins in the industry. Steve Rogers is the hero every man wants to be. He has a strong sense of duty, honour, dignity and humility, with old fashioned, idealistic goals that would make the world a better place. Some - namely Stark - would call him a stick in the mud and make a mockery of him by pinning him with obscene names like 'Fourth of July Stripper' or 'Walking Flagpole', but in the end, he's America's sweetheart with a golden legacy that will last for generations. So it's only natural that the two complete opposites - who are also each other's enemies- to clash the moment they meet one another, yes? Filled with action, revenge, old adversaries, humour and of course the lovely drizzle of a bipolar romance, this is the story of how a narcissistic assassin falls for one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Her enemy. Anastasya is an assassin, an advanced super soldier created by HYDRA in WWII, alongside James Barnes. But her life gets a different turn than his; she wakes up after being in ice for decades and, luckily for everyone, Tony Stark finds her first when she returns to the mainland. Her biggest problem, with all the problems that come with Thanos wanting to kill half of all living creatures, is getting control over her emotions. The man who helps her understand the importance of allowing yourself to feel is Steve Rogers, with who she develops a special connection. But what happens if, after all they did to prevent it, she does get activated again? Will The Avengers have to face two remaining Winter Soldiers at once? Or can they get through the hard core of The Soldiers and tame their spirits before it's too late, before the fight of their lives? • • timeline is set before Avengers: Infinity War • there is usually a video at the beginning of every chapter for the ~vibe~ • I do not own or pretend to own Marvel's characters, plots, buildings etc. © cover by me ⚠ disclaimer: this story is mature, it contains graphic depictions of violence, sexuality, strong language, mental illnesses and other mature themes ⚠ have in mind: I have no idea if this book would make sense considering all Marvel's 'rules' about powered people, winter soldiers, time travel etc. I just came up with this idea, decided to write it down and here we are :)

{COMPLETED} The fight between friends is over and now Rose must seek refuge in Wakanda with her husband, Bucky, and daughter, Winnie. She never once imagined to live past a hundred but now she must evolve further in preparation for the future. War is around the corner and she will face creatures from space. Who will she lose in the snap? Who can she trust? Sneak Peek: "You're early," the woman from my dreams greeted once the portal behind me closed. I saw a man next to her in different robes but I didn't want to take off my helmet yet, "Sorry, I think. Where am I? How did I get here, exactly?" She put her hand on the man's shoulder, "I am the Ancient One. I visited you in your dreams. This is Stephen Strange." I took off my helmet, "Rose Sinclair Barnes. You might have heard of me." Stephen took a step back, "The daughter of Preston Whitmore Sinclair? You're the Schnee Soldier." I nodded and looked at the Ancient One, "Ma'am? Can you help me?" She nodded and guided me and Stephen to her private study. This magical place was full of people in robes identical to Stephen's. Her study was very unique and smelled of incense. We sat on the floor across from her as she served us tea. "Tell me," she said, "what do you need help with?" {END}
