In the year 2XXX, Lexie Blackwood has already won three awards from her school, seven from community service, and 12 from sports. She is admired by everyone, even her enemies. It all changes when her parents go on a business trip and has to stay with this "mean" kid named Alex. So, she is forced to hang out with him. It changes even more when she meets two kids, Jacob and GC. When Jacob and Alex start to fight over her, and GC starts to have depression, she starts to worry about herself.
Alex Miller never really cared about anybody else and has grown to have a distant personality. His life turns around when this random girl comes to stay at his house in Topeka, Kansas. And it takes a worse turn when he is introduced to a bright and warm girl, named Lexie Blackwood.
Jacob Brown has always been the kind, funny, and flirty one in his family. It all changed when his best friend, Alex's family friend has come over to their house. For Jacob, it was almost love at first sight. But, when Lexie shows signs of liking Alex, Jacob either has to win her over or accept the fact that not everything is his.
GC Brown has always hidden under her twin brother's child. She has always been the quiet, shy, and awkward one. When a new girl stays the summer with the kid next door, and GC thinks that she could be a potential friend. But, when her friends start to fight over Lexie, she starts to think about the bad things in her life.
