Hundreds of years ago, magic was something to be feared. Thousands of warlocks and witches were put to death just because of how they were born. They were enslaved and considered an abomination to the earth. Now, warlocks and witches have risen up against the human race, turning the tables. Those with magic now rule, reverting the world back to how it was centuries before their kind was hunted down.

Guinevere is a simple farm girl, whose mother died when she was thirteen and whose father has taken up drinking and stealing. When Gwen's father sells her to the slave masters, she has no choice but to accept her fate. But when the High Warlock and Prince of Glydale, Darius Vervain, lays eyes on Gwen, he cannot help but feel something for her. Soon, a journey of discovery, love, passion, danger and death awaits both Gwen and Darius as they try and work together in the new world.

Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.
