The Gate is based on a dystopian society. The Leader of the society has built a gate around where he planned to build his new society. The citizens can only go to the gate and nothing else on the outside. Jobs are assigned and schooling is different than normal schooling. Everyone has a rank from the time they are born till the time they die. Once born you start with the lowest rank possible. (Will explain in story) Take the journey with Alex as he tries to figure out what is beyond the tall gate and why they are kept behind it. Alex is 16, 5,8 Blonde short/medium hair, average build,Green/Blue eyes,A few scars along his face. Alex is short tempered but can be calmed quickly. His clothing is a black hoodie with red checkered pattern is along the arms as a triangle with a line through it is on the back. He has black pants with white shoes. (Now that he is done once more characters come to play i will explain them also in a separate chapter)

The whole camp was filling with smoke. I coughed, praying that my lungs would keep working for just a few more minutes. "Eli, which way is west?" Adam's breathing was just as labored from physical exertion, smoke, and panic as mine was. I didn't even process the question. I didn't know. We couldn't see anything through the smoke because the fire was spreading so quickly, and I just realized I'd forgotten my walkie-talkie. "Don't know!" I answered. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you.
