Assassin

My name is Scarrlet Williams, the 17-year-old daughter of the Lord of New Burrow. I am the youngest of 5 kids. I am the only girl. My oldest brother is destined to be the Lord of New Burrow if/when our father dies or it is just his time to step down from being Lord.

My father wants all of his kids to become respectable people. He wants my brothers to become a guard and to marry a daughter of a lord. As for me, well, my future was set since the day I was born. Since the day I was born, my father and the Lord of Okasis wanted to form an alliance. I was originally supposed to marry the youngest of the Okasis three, as they were known as, But sadly he died just last year.

My father was gonna call off the arrangement, but then the Lord of Okasis suggested his son Zane, who was now the High Priest of Okasis. My father happily obliged. So, I am now betrothed to the High Priest Zane.

Luckily, I already know him. I have been sneaking into the forest to see him. He has been training me to kill, which is a nice change of pace from what I grew up learning. When I was a kid I learned that killing was bad and unladylike. But, I like it. It has this certain kind of, rush to it that makes you feel alive.

Zane was impressed with my work, so I became an assassin for him. Killing anyone who got in the way of his planes. And I liked it. Along with becoming an assassin, I became a member of the Jury of Nine.

In the Jury of Nine, there is the inner circle of 5, I am in it. We are the 5 most skilled, and Zane has us do the hardest work. In the circle are Katelyn The FireFist, Jeffrey The Golden Heart, Zane The Noble, Ivy The Venom Scythe, and me Scarrlet The Demon Slayer.

We all understand each other, and we all care about each other. If one of us is hurt we will avenge the other. If someone betrays us then we will take them down.
