The year is 1944, and France is under German occupation. For Gerard Way, this means that his vibrant, bustling and lavish city is no longer any of those things. But it's his, and that's all that matters. And to hell with anyone that would stand in his way of getting it back. With his brother beside him, what was left of Gerard's regard for safety is thrown out the window with his heavy involvement in the underground resistance movement taking the sewers of Paris by storm. But there's one man making his life far more dangerous than it needs to be - and that man is Frank Iero; the German soldier living in the Way household.

Gerard Way never expected for his years in college to pass so slowly. He almost craved for something to happen to make the experience more exciting, but that event would likely never come. Or so, that's what Gerard thought. Stumbling across a messy poetic letter that was most likely dropped definitely made things more interesting. It wasn't as much the context of the letter, but more so where the letter was found that peaked Gerard's interests. "Why would anyone leave a note in a storage closet?" He thought to himself. More notes came into the closet every day, and Gerard began to wonder multiple things. 1: Who was writing these letters? 2: Why were they in the storage closet? 3: Who in the world was Frank Iero? the world is coming to an end. every human is tested and separated into 3 groups; the elite, the gifted, and the unwanted. Gerard Way was placed in the group of the gifted for his artistic skills but because those skills aren't necessarily needed, his name has been placed into a military lottery. Those who are chosen are sent to war or they sweep the streets for the unwanted. every year, 5 people are chosen and this year, Gerard happened to be one of them. Frank Iero happens to be part of the unwanted. for all anybody knows, he's dead, but he isn't. he's hiding in the sewers, keeping himself alive. the unwanted are sent to a camp where they'll be executed. there are always those who escape but most are killed on sight. Frank on the other hand is sneaky and he got out. now he hides out with the rest of the escapees. what's gonna happen when Gerard meets Frank? Completed!!Complete
