This is my entry for the national geographic #PlanetorPlastic writing contest. This is a short story with which I would like to help raise awareness for the wrong that is being done to our oceans. This is a terrible situation, one that is of our own making. I hope this story impacts you to try and change.

"I was smoking on Shellfish Bridge, thinking about how I had completely screwed up my life, when an idea occurred to me; what if I jumped?" What happens when you make a suicidal jump off a bridge and everything goes completely wrong? Ask Tarabelle Johansson, an 18 year old girl that wanted to end her life, even though it had barely begun. But the mermen is already engaged, and Tara finds out that his bride to be Adara is not what she appears. While all of this happens under sea, back on land Tarabelle's older brother Ridge, attempts to find out what exactly happened to her. He is convinced that his little sister would not commit suicide...or would she? This is the dazzling story about a girl who's life got turned upside down the day she wanted to die. Living Life, Frame by Frame
Through a camera lens, you can capture certain moments of life. This book will be a collection of short stories and poems that will be based off of photos that I have taken. Chasing Tide (A Merman's Tale And The Human Who Desired Him)
One of the most painful things on earth is to lose a loved one. Whether in death or heartbreak. It's a pain different from all others. You feel every burn, every ache, your senses awaken, and greedily await a memory to sip in and then wreck your entire being. She took everything. His Light. His Heart. His Soul. It had no end. For years it went on like it would never end. But, it did. Just in passing, a normal day, a day like every other, but it was the day, his heart danced truly and his chest tighten as if a fierce wind had passed by, blending with his soul, leaving a suffocating feeling in his chest, a choking sensation in his throat, there was a pressure making it hard to breathe. ******* "My heart has heated for the human and my blood has flown for him. She is of the bloodline of a long-gone sea goddess. She also is the only one of her kind that can feel and fall in love. 14 years in the past, the queen and the mermaid met. The latter saving the former from a drowning at sea. Over a course of one summer, they became the best of friends. They separate because of their fates. Then happenstance has them reuniting again. Are they good friends from the past? Or something deeper and romantic?Complete
Barely Human: A Short Story Collection
Here lies a series of short stories written out of pure boredom or when ideas I conjure up don't fit nor expand into any bigger story. As I'll be too burdened with college and personal life, I won't be continuing Hollow Ocean for the time being as I would need to revise it. However, I took the time to make some short stories that I oftentimes use as submissions for my finals. Should the need arise, I'm not opposed to writing a second collection.
