After being frozen for almost six years, Marie emerges from hiding into a world where everything has changed. The people who once controlled her are gone, her contractor is dead, the Black Reaper has gone incogneto, and a friend from the past doesn't want anything to do with her. Marie must find her own way and try to make a life of her own, but she is unintentionally closing in on the darkness within herself and on a future she may not really want. But when faced with the truth, will she turn the reaper in? Can she regain the affections of an old friend? Will she be able to make a life in this new world on her own?
